Institute of the Czech Language of the AS CR

The Institute of the Czech Language of the AS CR currently administrates the largest database of lexicographical data concerning the Czech language, including the monolingual dictionaries commonly used by Czech Sign Language users to ascertain the meaning of Czech words.

Within the current project, the Institute of the Czech Language will provide accessibility of  Příruční slovník jazyka českého, Slovník spisovného jazyka českého, and, if need be, Slovník spisovné češtiny pro školu a veřejnost  (dictionaries of the Czech language) and  Nová slova v češtině –  Slovník neologizmů 1 a 2 (a two-volume dictionary of neologisms in Czech). At the same time it will participate in the promotion of the dictionary as a publicly accessible tool for the development of language culture.
