Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to inform you that renovations will be taking place at the Teiresiás Centre and in other parts of the building at Komenského nám. 2 from June 16 to September 8. For this reason, the Centre’s premises will not be available for their usual use.
What does this mean?
Testing Arrangements
For taking tests and exams during the renovation, alternative rooms in the building at Komenského nám. 2 will be used: S104, 406, 506, 139b, and 139c, possibly also 213 and the CPS rooms. This map may help you find your way around the building.
Appointments with Teiresiás Centre staff
From July 1, the offices of the Studies section, Library, the ICT section, the Visual communication section, and the Administration will only be available on a limited basis. If your in-person visit to the Centre is necessary, please schedule an appointment with the relevant staff member in advance. Contact information can be found here. Due to ongoing construction work, we will not be able to receive unannounced visitors.
Study Rooms
Study rooms 105 to 118 will be inaccessible during the renovation.
For self-study, only classroom 506 will be available, and only to students with sensory or physical impairments who use specialized hardware or software for their study. Access to this classroom will be possible only after prior reservation in the Teiresiás Timetable application.
Library
The physical library collection will not be available during the renovation; access to the digital part of the library collection remains unrestricted.
Barrier-free access and assistance with movement around the building
For those using barrier-free access, entry to the building will only be possible through the main gate after ringing the bell at the reception desk. The standard entrance to the building will remain open, and the parking lot will also be accessible throughout the renovation.
If you need assistance entering the building or moving around its premises, please let us know at oph@teiresias.muni.cz. Please notify us at least 2 working days in advance so that we can ensure safe access. Construction materials or debris may be present in some parts of the building, which may make moving around difficult.
Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We believe that the renovation will result in a more pleasant and better-equipped environment for all those who use our services.
