Name of the workshop: PHP Workshop Subtitle: The basics of a powerful web-programming language Workshop Leader: Christoph Damm Co-tutors: Radka Faltinova Workshop Description: This workshop offers you an introduction to the basics of the popular web-programming language, PHP. You will see how easy it can be to start programming in PHP and you will get an impression of how powerful it can become with further development of your new skills. This session will start from the very beginning but will proceed according to your level – perhaps even onto some advanced topics. By the end, you will know what PHP is and what it can be used to do, how you can start programming in PHP, which applications are needed, what variables are and what you can do with them, how to create forms and how to continue expanding your knowledge after the workshop. Week: second week Target group: both separated in two groups Prerequisites: Skills in navigating a PC. A basic understanding of HTML is not a must but would be very helpful. Needed Hardware: PCs for max 5 students Needed Software: I need a PHP interpreter integrated in a webserver. I would like to ask if you will have a local webserver where you may offer me a folder for students and there projects or if you may install a local webserver at each mashine.
