Name of Workshop: PHP for Beginners Workshop Leader: Christoph Damm Country: Czech Republic Co-tutors (if needed): Katerina Kmentova Week: second week Aims/Objectives: This workshop offers you an introduction to the basics of the popular web-programming language, PHP. You will see how easy it can be to start programming in PHP and you will get an impression of how powerful it can become with further development of your new skills. This session will start from the very beginning but will proceed according to your level – perhaps even into some advanced topics. By the end of the workshop, you will have learnt what PHP is and what it can be used to do, how you can start programming in PHP, which applications are needed, what variables are and what you can do with them, how to create forms and how to continue expanding your knowledge after the workshop is finished. Target group: both Braille and screen users (separated in two groups) Prerequisites: Skills in navigating a PC. A basic understanding of HTML is not a must but would be very helpful.
