Description:
The workshop will guide students their first reading and using web pages on Internet and basic assets of the web will be explained. Simple web pages will be used. All the topics will be explained and trained with Microsoft Internet Explorer and JAWS.

Aims:
Students should get acknowledge how to read and navigate a web page document, they will know the differences between a HTML document and a plain text document. How to use and navigate Internet Explorer. When it is useful to get information from Internet, when not.

- introduction to web pages document structure
- how to read HTML document
- unaccessible parts of HTML documents
- Microsoft Internet Explorer - its basic functions
- basic functions of JAWS in reading a web document
- internet address - its structure

Students pre-requests:
The students should be experienced in Windows - working with basic Windows applications. Experience in e-mail is suitable. They should have knowledges of the principles of Windows environment with JAWS and braille display (braille reading knowledge is expected, of course).

Hardware:
PCs with Internet connection, braille displays
