TEIRESIÁS: 
Regular study for students with specific learning disorders
1. Introduction
Upon finding out that you have been accepting please contact our psychologist Mgr. Iva Dudíková, so that she can guide you through the next steps that need to be taken.
2. Enrollment and photographing
If you have been accepted to any of MU's faculties you must confirm your interest in studying here by enrolling; you will receive information about how to do this ahead of time by post. Upon enrollment you will receive basic information about your studies, passwords necessary to access MU's information system and computer laboratories, etc.
Upon enrollment you will also be photographed. Your photograph will then be displayed in the MU Information System, so that others may recognize you when they want to personally deal with you. You will also have this photograph on your International Student Identity Card (ISIC), which serves as your university ID throughout your entire course of study, entitles you to special discounts, allows you to enter university facilities, pay in dining halls and dormitories, etc.
3. Semester enrollment and course registration
In your first semester of study you must enroll in person, but in all following semesters you must express your interest to study further by electronic semester enrollment.
Course registration takes place before the start of each semester. If you do not know which course to register for, use the registration template function, which will accurately guide you in selecting the courses you should register for in each semester.
The MU Study and Examination Regulations apply to all students, and in addition the Directive on Studies for People with Special Needs of the Rector applies to students with learning disorders.
4. Information system
At Masaryk University it is of critical importance to learn how to work with the electronic Information System. All administrative work at the university is done via this system. The basics of working with this system are presented at enrollment; a textual beginner's manual can be found directly in the Information System. If you have any difficulties working with the Information System, please contact Mgr. Iva Dudíková.
5. Required core courses
As a part of your course of study you must take required core courses. These are courses that are not a part of your major field of study, although their completion is a compulsory part of your studies. They include a two-semester foreign language course. Considering the fact that learning foreign languages for students with learning disabilities can be difficult, we recommend taking your foreign language requirement as soon as possible.
If you think that you will not be able to manage a normal foreign language course, we suggest you contact the personnel of the department of lifelong learning or Mgr. Iva Dudíková, in order to make arrangements for individual language lessons.
6. Examinations, credit tests, and colloquia
The university administration expects that you will complete every examination, colloquium and credit test in the generally normal, prescribed manner. If you contact us before each examination in time, i.e. a week before a regular examination is to be taken, or a month before the final state examinations, we will ensure the same conditions for you as you had for the entrance examinations.
7. Further support throughout your studies
- For dyslectic students we provide information about and training with screen readers to be used during your course of study or examinations.
- For dysgraphic students we can offer the possibility to take written examinations on a computer.
- Dysorthographic students can use computers with spell check functions during tests, as long as this does not affect the material being tested.
- Dyscalculic students can be allowed to use calculators in certain substantiated situations.
For students with combined disorders, it is of course assumed that they will use multiple support tools.
