Health-related physical education for visually impaired students
Course objectives
The aims of the subject are
- Improvement of physical skills and fitness
- Creating a positive attitude to physical activities
- Support of a healthy life-style of the students
- Preventive exercises focused on the musculoskeletal system (influencing back pain, correct posture, muscle imbalance, articular range of motion), cardiovascular and respiratory system (relaxation of tensions in the area of chest and shoulders, stretching and strengthening of the accessory muscles of respiration, creating a correct breathing stereotype and coordination of breathing and movement), central nervous system, psyche and overall regeneration and relaxation of the body
The exercises may use exercise aids like gymnastic balls, overballs, latex bands, balance trainers etc.

- Getting familiar with the basic principles of health-related training
- Practice of the correct movement stereotype
- Practice of the correct breathing stereotype
- Coordination and balance exercises
- Exercises using aids
- Designing individual exercise sets
